Saffron Road Joins Frontline Impact Project to Support Healthcare Workers and First Responders
Through a donation of frozen meals, Saffron Road becomes one of more than 40 partners committed to getting resources to those on the front lines of COVID-19
Stamford, Conn. May 14, 2020
Saffron Road® announces it has joined Frontline Impact Project, a national platform designed to match companies that want to help with institutions in need of resources. Through Frontline Impact Project, Saffron Road will nourish frontline workers who are putting their wellbeing on the line by providing them with frozen meals and a small but meaningful morale boost.
In about a month, Saffron Road has donated nearly 4,000 of the 5,000 pledged meals to 7 institutions such as Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, RWJ University Hospital and Wayne (NJ) First Aid Squad EMS. The Stamford, CT based company is one of more than 40 partners that have joined Frontline Impact Project since it was started in mid-April by The KIND Foundation, a charitable entity started by KIND Snacks, in consultation with Project N95.
Says Saffron Road CEO, Adnan Durrani, “At the start of the COVID-19 crisis, we swiftly began outreach to several local organizations and healthcare facilities and discovered many were not able to accept or safely store large quantities or frozen shipments of our meals. When we learned of Frontline Impact Project, it was a no-brainer for us to join. Their platform and matching process greatly simplified our efforts and amplified our charitable work to seamlessly reach thousands of providers. Getting meals to the frontlines doesn’t begin to show our immense appreciation for the heroes risking their lives to keep us safe, but we do hope they nourish them in a small way and momentarily bring a smile to their face.”
Says Daniel Lubetzky, Founder of KIND, “Saffron Road’s frozen meals are well suited for healthcare workers and first responders who don’t have time to cook but are in need of proper nourishment. We also know that many frontline institutions are seeking individually wrapped meals as workers cannot share food. Saffron Road meets this critical need, and we’re grateful for their commitment to Frontline Impact Project.”
For companies like Saffron Road, the platform offers a streamlined way to connect with qualified institutions and maximize impact. For institutions overwhelmed by individual offers for aid, it offers a centralized place to request non-PPE resources and quickly get matched with a donor.
