Honoring Jack Acree & Welcoming Paul Turbeville as Saffron Road’s President
Saffron Road’s Jack Acree departing to work with SFA, while Paul Turbeville leaps into its C-Suite as President to Propel Future Growth
Stamford, CT - November 13TH, 2024 – American Halal Company, Inc., D/B/A Saffron Road Foods, announced today the departure of EVP Jack Acree, as well as the appointment of Paul Turbeville as President.
Jack stated that, “I could not be prouder of the brand and team that we have created at Saffron Road. I am excited to see what the next steps in the journey will bring.” Among other things, Jack is excited to be working with the Specialty Food Association focused on education and advocacy for the food industry as well helping new brands to navigate their way to success in today’s dynamic environment. Earlier this year, Mr. Acree was inducted into the SFA Hall of Fame, awarding him for his lifetime of service. Paul will be taking over some of the sales and marketing responsibilities from Jack, in addition to his C-Suite duties as President of Saffron Road Foods.
Mr. Turbeville brings extensive experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, having held various leadership positions and spent his career building high-growth brands. Most recently, he served as the key executive and Chief Commercial Officer at Village Gourmet, for their portfolio of specialty meat brands. Prior to that, he worked at Pete & Gerry’s for 7 years, where as Vice President of Marketing & Sales Planning he played a pivotal role in expanding the brand’s revenue from $60 million to $300 million, culminating in a successful exit to Butterfly Equity. Under his leadership, Pete & Gerry’s Organic Eggs became the #1 organic egg brand in the U.S. and ranked #9 organic food brand in the U.S. overall.
Mr. Turbeville was also instrumental in guiding Pete & Gerry’s through its certification as the first Certified B Corp in animal agriculture and led multiple sustainability initiatives, ensuring ongoing recertification efforts. His strong commitment to purpose-driven leadership perfectly aligns with Saffron Road’s values and mission on its Journey to Better®.
In addition to his impressive CPG background, Mr. Turbeville holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served five years in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, he also earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
