New Natural Food Brand to Address World Halal Forum

Stamford, Connecticut, USA – March 29, 2011 – Drawing on its own insights from recently launching a successful new food brand in the United States, Saffron Road™ will address how Halal values can translate to wider audiences at the 6th Annual World Halal Forum, April 4-5 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Zahed Amanullah, a member of the Board of Directors at American Halal Company, Inc (Saffron Road’s parent company), will identify opportunities in the marketplace to leverage common values such as sustainability and ethical consumerism in his presentation, Positioning Halal Values on the Retail Shelf.

“Many in the Halal product market say they struggle with how to position Halal in the mainstream marketplace. I’ll share how Saffron Road is successful in helping redefine Halal values for a broad audience through partnering with like-minded retailers, educating the natural foods industry about the trend of Halal, as well as tapping into and engaging with diverse groups of consumers,“ says Amanullah.

The World Halal Forum is one of the world’s premier Halal industry events and has a proven track record as playing a major role in determining the direction of the global Halal industry. This year’s Forum will focus on the theme, Towards a Halal Economy: The Power of Values in Global Markets. Saffron Road will be joined by other leading brands and thought leaders in the global Halal marketplace such as: Nestle, Colgate and HSBC.
